for YOUR half hour audition slot REGISTER NOW FOR SPRING SESSION CLASSES: All Classes are 10 weeks long from week of April 1 - June 8, 2013 (No classes during Spring Break, 4/15 - 19) Tuesdays: Broadway Juniors Ages 8 - 11 4:00 – 4:45 $120.00 An introductory course in musical theater singing and dancing which engages the youth in a fun approach to learning the basics of musical theater training. Students will spend their ten weeks learning a variety of different dance moves to several different musical numbers in this fast-paced class that is as fun as it is educational. Straight to Broadway Ages 12 and up 5:00 – 6:00 $125.00 An intensive dance curriculum designed to train students in specific skills for musical theater success from vocal work to sharp choreography Your child will receive the most comprehensive training available to enhance his/her interests in music and dance and boost confidence in musical production auditions and performances. No previous experience necessary. Wednesdays: Playwriting Ages 12 - up 7:30 – 8:30 $100.00 Do you love to write? Come learn how to write a play, learn the proper format required for playwriting, generate good conceptual ideas for plays, and receive constructive criticism in this group setting designed for young people who are seriously interested in becoming writers for television or the stage. Thursdays: Beginning Acting Ages 6 - 9 4:00 – 4:45 $100.00 An introduction to drama that focuses on fun improvisation games and drama exercises that help a child develop characters for the stage. This class will be given up to two scenes in the spring play to be performed June 7 & 8, 2013. Spring PLAY Ages 8 - 14 4:45-6:15 $125.00 Open auditions for the Late Spring play are Thursday, March 28, 2013, from 4:45 – 6:15 pm. Performances, June 7 & 8, 2013. Play TBD. Acting I Ages 12 and up 7:00 – 8:00 $125.00 This one hour class will focus on monologues and scenes in a more intensive acting program than the Improvisation class would offer. This class is ideal for students preparing for serious auditions or interested in following a career in theater. Fridays are Improv Day: Beginner Improvisation Grades K thru 3 4:30 – 5:15 $50.00/4 wks. This introduction to drama is a favorite for children who enjoy hamming it up at home. Children will explore their creativity through a wide range of fun drama games and exercises while developing original skits to show family and friends at the session’s end. Advanced Improvisation Grades 4 and up 5:15 – 6:15 $120.00 This class is geared to the young person interested in performing comedy. This is an ensemble based program that fosters good comedic timing and original script development. Students will develop original material through proven improvisation techniques and skits already written and used by professional comedians.
